Which paint brands are supported?

More than 80 manufacturers and over 50,000 colors — including Vallejo, Tamiya, Games Workshop / Citadel, Revell, Testors, Army Painter, AK Interactive, Humbrol, Scale75, Reaper, Ammo, Hataka, and MIG Productions, alongside many independent ranges.

How does color matching work?

Model Colors compares paints using the FS, RAL, and RLM standards and the CIE deltaE 2000 color-difference formula, then ranks the closest equivalents in other ranges. Screens and lighting vary, so treat matches as a strong starting point and confirm against a physical swatch for critical work.

What do I need to run it?

An iPhone or iPad on iOS 26 or later, signed in to iCloud with iCloud Drive enabled — Model Colors uses iCloud to store your collection and builds.

Is there a cost?

Model Colors is free to download. Some features are available through an optional subscription — see the App Store listing for current pricing in your region.

Can I scan paints and export my lists?

Yes. Scan a paint's barcode to find it quickly, and export your color lists and mixes to take them with you or share them.

How do I report a problem or request a brand?

Use the feedback option in the app, or get in touch through the App Store listing. Include the paint or range you're asking about so we can act on it.
